Walang Yamang Mas Hihigit Sa 'yo

"Walang Yamang Mas Hihigit Sa 'yo" is a Tagalog song by Filipino rock group Cueshé. This song is included in their repackaged Back to Me album. It is used as a soundtrack in GMA Network's Asian Treasures, a television show in the fantasy-action (better known as telefantasya) genre, which stars Filipino actors Angel Locsin and Robin Padilla.

Walang Yamang Mas Hihigit Sa 'yo

Ano ba ang hanap mo
Pwede bang katulad ko
Ang ibigin mo ooh

Di mo na kailangan pang
Pumunta sa dulo ng walang hanggan
Para sumaya

(Refrain)
Ipikit mo lang ang iyong mata
Ang pusong mo makakita
Ng yamang di inaasahan

(Chorus)
Ika’y ginto sa puso ko
Sana ito’y malaman mo
Wala nang yaman sa mundo
Ang mas hihigit sa yo
Wala nang hahanapin pa
Sa yo ako’y kumpleto na
Walang yamang mas hihigit sa yo

Iwan mo na ang nagdaan
Matutong wag muling masaktan ang damdamin
Ako’y iyong pansinin

Di man ako tulad nila
Walang porma, walang pera
Pero mahal kita, ika’y mahalaga
At iingatan pa

(Repeat Refrain and Chorus)

Walang yamang mas hihigit sa yo

Esem

"Esem" is a mid-1990s hit from Filipino rock group Yano, which is included on their eponymous album. The song is a reference to SM City North Edsa, the very first super mall established by SM Prime Holdings, in Quezon City, Philippines. This mall is one of the favorite tambayan (hangout) of some University of the Philippines students, which members of Yano (Dong Abay and Eric Gancio) belong. In this song, they recount their experiences while loitering inside the mall without any money to buy things except for transportation fare and two cigarettes. It shows the true iskolar ng bayan (scholars of the nation), who strive hard to study with their little allowances.

Laklak

" Laklak " is an alternative rock song by Filipino band Teeth. The song is included in their double-platinum eponymous album in 1995. " Laklak " reached number 1 for 12 weeks in LA-105, a former alternative rock station in Manila, and was voted as Song of the Year at 1995 NU 107 Rock Awards. "Laklak" was re-recorded to fit the mainstream audience. The lyrics of the song are somewhat controversial because it talks about alcoholism in the youth. Although, it can also viewed as a way to avoid alcoholism because the song shows how too much drinking can make a person looked like a police who has a big tummy. In 2002, a cover version by Gloc 9 and Dong Abay is included in the soundtrack of Videoke King , a Filipino film, which stars Robin Padilla and Pops Fernandez. This version of "Laklak" is included in the self-titled album of Gloc 9. Laklak Nagsimula sa patikimtikim Pinilit kong gustuhin Bisyo'y nagsimulang lumalim Kaya ngayon ang hirap t...

Harana

"Harana" (Tagalog for "Seranade") is one of Parokya ni Edgar's biggest hit. In 1999, this song got an award from MTV Video Music Awards in the "Southeast Asia Viewer's Choice Awards" category. It seems that there is some kind of irony (or humor) in this song because their doing the harana (serenade) in formal barong (a traditional Filipino garment) with the informal maong (jeans). This song was originally written by Filipino singer Tony Lambino and ended up to this Filipino alternative rock band. In 2002, Parokya ni Edgar made a full version of this song with the following addition: Uso pa ba ang harana? Marahil ngayon ay alam mo na Basta’t para sa iyo aking hirang Kahit na magmukhang hibang Tutupdin ang lahat liyag pagkat ako ang iyong bihag. Harana (Narration) Tao po! Good evening, puwede ba hong mangharana? Uso pa ba ang harana Marahil ikaw ay nagtataka Sino ba 'tong mukhang gago Nagkandarapa sa pagkanta At nasisintunado sa kaba Meron pan...
