" Laklak " is an alternative rock song by Filipino band Teeth. The song is included in their double-platinum eponymous album in 1995. " Laklak " reached number 1 for 12 weeks in LA-105, a former alternative rock station in Manila, and was voted as Song of the Year at 1995 NU 107 Rock Awards. "Laklak" was re-recorded to fit the mainstream audience. The lyrics of the song are somewhat controversial because it talks about alcoholism in the youth. Although, it can also viewed as a way to avoid alcoholism because the song shows how too much drinking can make a person looked like a police who has a big tummy. In 2002, a cover version by Gloc 9 and Dong Abay is included in the soundtrack of Videoke King , a Filipino film, which stars Robin Padilla and Pops Fernandez.
