This song debuted on number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 23, 1991 and peaked at number one. The song features complicated guitar work by Nuno Bettencourt and the vocals of Gary Cherone together with Bettencourt harmony vocals. Popularity of "More Than Words" still remained after years of its release as an acoustic ballad. This song is about love that cannot be shown through mere words.
