"Habang May Buhay" is composed by Wency Cornejo, lead vocalist for Filipino rock group of the early 1990s After Image, for his mother GMA Network newscaster Mel Tiangco. This song is included in the second album of After Image Tag-araw, Tag-ulan, which is the group's bestselling album.

Donna Cruz made a cover of this song as well as a version by Jaya with Regine Velasquez.

" Laklak " is an alternative rock song by Filipino band Teeth. The song is included in their double-platinum eponymous album in 1995. " Laklak " reached number 1 for 12 weeks in LA-105, a former alternative rock station in Manila, and was voted as Song of the Year at 1995 NU 107 Rock Awards. "Laklak" was re-recorded to fit the mainstream audience. The lyrics of the song are somewhat controversial because it talks about alcoholism in the youth. Although, it can also viewed as a way to avoid alcoholism because the song shows how too much drinking can make a person looked like a police who has a big tummy. Released in 1999, this song won an ASCAP Award as the "Most Performed Songs from Motion Pictures" for the 1999 movie She's All That .
